The Counsellor's Consortium

The Counsellor’s Consortium (TCC) was birthed by the Holy Spirit as Heaven’s response to the struggle and the suffering of the world in the present times of moral degeneration and desecration of personal, marriage and family values.

In times like these, people are confused not knowing to differentiate right from wrong, righteousness from unrighteousness, holiness from unholiness and are constantly in darkness.

Sin is unrecognised, minimized and normalised and therefore, issues to be resolved become more confusing and more complex.

Holy Spirit-led Counsellors see things as God sees them from God’s perspective. They bring the power of the Gospel into counselling and help set people free from sin, deception, bondages and the like.

Our
Journey

TCC was registered in 2010 with two organisations and ten counsellors. Since then, there have been regular fellowship gatherings and meetings. TCC has also hosted programs partnering with other ministries involved in deliverance counselling like Freedom in Christ ministries.

TCC also was the host organisation for the Christian Psychotherapy Conference, Chennai in 2017. Since then, every year, TCC has celebrated an annual event with counsellors titled “Day with the Holy Spirit.”

Since 2020, the accredited certificate and Diploma courses have been conducted under the Martin Luther Christian University, Shillong. We have completed three batches. From 2021, TCC has been offering the Pastoral Counselling course for M.Th. and M.Div. students of a well-known seminary.

Who is The Counsellor?

The Counsellor we refer to is the Holy Spirit. In the Bible, He is referred to as ‘The Counsellor’, among other titles. It is under the tutelage of the Holy Spirit that this organization has come into being. The apostrophe (Counsellor’s) is indicative of the identity of the Holy Spirit.

What do We believe?

  • We believe that God is the key stakeholder in Holy Spirit-led Counselling. The client, the family, the problem issue, the expectations of the society and everything else is brought under the knowledge of God and the cross.

  • Every counsellor must be led by the Holy Spirit in all matters. His/her degree, profession and method of treatment are all brought under the Kingship of Jesus Christ and the leading of the Holy Spirit.

  • Medicinal intervention is a gift from God and cannot be ignored in clinical counselling where medication is required.
